Air Suspension Compressor Repair
Vehicles equipped with a factory air suspension system (Airmatic) use a compressor that supplies pressurized air to the shock absorbers. A healthy and properly functioning compressor typically delivers air at an average pressure of 15-20 bar under normal conditions. However, over time, the compressor may wear out and produce significantly lower pressure, causing the vehicle’s leveling system to function poorly—or not at all.
When the compressor fails or loses power, the front of the vehicle is usually noticeably lower than the rear due to the engine’s weight. This can cause excessive stiffness and bouncing in the suspension. If not addressed promptly, it may lead to damage in level sensors and shock absorbers.
We professionally repair faulty or underperforming air suspension compressors.
